Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds seems to be annoyed that leaked images of new Lego sets based on his soon to be released new movie have revealed crucial spoilers. So annoyed he tweeted pictures of those very sets himself. Two sets have been revealed, the first is presumably from the epic climax of the film, 6969 Deadpool Space Squid Shark Balloon Battle, in which Deadpool seems to be riding a pegasus to apprehend a high altitude balloon.
The other set, part of a Farm and Country sub-theme, is 2016 Deadpool Hot Dogs Moose and Owl, based on a more relaxing moment in the film.

Lego Marvel's Avengers out this week
Oout this week is the latest Lego video game, Lego Marvel's Avengers, which draws from the Marvel cinematic universe, with levels based on the two Avengers movies, as well as Iron Man 3, Thor: Dark of the World, and the first two Captain America films.
To mark the release, there is of course a launch trailer, which creatively uses sound effects from the game to create something of a soundtrack:
For a bit more of an idea of game-play, this previous trailer is perhaps a little more useful, with a particular focus on the open world aspects of the game - New York looks rather impressive!

Lego's 2015 Comic Con exclusive sets
Page created 24th June 2015. Last updated 1st July 2015.
Lego have announced three sets which will be available next month exclusively at the San Diego Comic Con. Based on some of the most popular of Lego's licenses, there will be a set each from Star Wars, DC Comics, and Marvel Comics. Each will be available in limited numbers at the convention, with attendees having to enter a ballot to even get a chance to buy them! A few will also be given away in competitions via Lego's Twitter - So there's a slim chance of getting them from afar. Continue below to check them all out.
UPDATE: Hoth Bricks have now released packaging images for all the sets too.
My personal favourite is the DC Comics set, a wonderfully retro Lego recreation of the cover of Action Comics #1, the first comic to feature Superman, back in 1938! Collider revealed details of this set, while the Lego Twitter shared the box:

Lego Jurassic World and Avengers video games
Lego, Warner Brothers, and TT Games have confirmed there will be a new Lego Jurassic World video game accompanying the release of the Lego Jurassic World product line, alongside the new movie this summer. And it won't just feature Jurassic World, the game will transform all four Jurassic Park films into Lego form - Hopefully previewing sets from wider franchise in future physical Lego sets!
Reporting on the game, Entertianment Weekly also revealed some of the unique features: Apparently players will be able to play as dinosaurs, and collect amber, containing dino DNA, to create custom species.
Oh, and there's also this gloriously silly teaser trailer:

Amazing Helicarrier set revealed
Lego have announced their latest Marvel Super Heroes set, and it's one of the biggest, most impressive, and feature-packed sets to date! Coming in March in 76042 The SHIELD Helicarrier, a glorious micro-scale build - Though far from micro over-all, with just short of three-thousand pieces building an eighty centimetre long model!
The helicarrier has functioning engines (in that they spin, rather than actually make it fly), lovely micro-scale printed runway tiles, and a host of vehicles and characters - Included are three quinjets, three fighter jets, an assortment of support vehicles and eight microfigures.
At micro-scale the set includes Nick Fury, Hawkeye, Captain America, Iron Man and no less than eight generic SHIELD agents, all ready to work out on the decks, or populate the interior command center. But that's not all, there are also five regular minifigures included; Nick Fury, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye and Maria Hill, who are presented on a bespoke stand with a SHIELD emblem as back-drop.
You can check out the designer video below, and continue after the jump for loads of images showing all the great features of the model.

How The Lego Movie should have ended
How It Should Have Ended and Brotherhood Workshop have teamed up to make several alternative endings for The Lego Movie. The latest looks at the love triangle between Batman, Wyldstyle, and Emmet, aka Starlord!
The previous two videos pock fun at at the ending of the film, and are equally as amusing. Check them out after the jump:

Helicarrier gets to Ideas review
The first project in the new review period on Lego Ideas has hit the ten-thousand supporters mark. That project is the Avengers Helicarrier, a ginormous rendition of the flying aircraft carrier from the Marvel cinematic universe. The new review period doesn't close until the new year, so it will be some time until we hear how it fares.
As originally submitted the model would have been over twenty-two-thousand pieces and more than two meters long! At the five-thousand supporter mark Lego Ideas recommended a more realistic build size, so the creator, YoSub Joo, redesigned to a mere six-thousand-seven-hundred piece design at a bit over a meter long - To put that in context, the biggest set by piece-count ever was 10189 Taj Mahal, and that was just short of six-thousand parts!
At both scales the proposed model is very impressive, and would certainly make a nice UCS style set. I imagine the Marvel brand is popular enough that such a set might sell. So I guess the question is, has Lego already considered making it, outside of Ideas?
Continue after the jump for more images of both versions of the model:

Lego's Comic Con display pieces
As well as sets you can buy, Lego are also showing of lots of different display pieces at the San Diego Comic Con this week.
First up, and perhaps the most impressive build, is Smaug, the dragon from The Hobbit, which took more than eighty-three-thousand bricks to complete, and comes complete with a little Bilbo Baggins (via When Nerds Attack):
Less of a giant, but coming at life-size, is Chopper, the new droid from the Star Wars animated series, Rebels (via MTV):
Continue after the jump for many more builds, including more Star Wars, Super Heroes, Ninja Turtles, and Ghostbusters:

New Marvel Super Heroes video game trailer
Lego and Marvel have released a new trailer for the forthcoming Lego Marvel Super Heroes video game. This one is more story focused than the previous teaser and themed trailers, and make the game look really fun! I'm not that keen on the introduction of voice actors to the games, instead of the grunts, squeaks, and other assorted minifigure noises of the earlier Lego games, but it looks like they're putting them to good effect here to tell a story and keep up the humour levels:

Comic Con exclusive Super Hero minifigures
USA Today has revealed a quartet of Lego Super Heroes minifigures which will be available at this year's San Diego Comic Con. This is the third year in a row that Lego have offered exclusive figures at the convention, and like last year they are taking the opportunity to offer some of the comic book characters that they haven't got into regular sets (super-cool if you get one, super-frustrating if you don't and really want that character!). This years characters are the Superman in a black costume, Spider-Woman, Green Arrow, and Spiderman in a new variant of his costume:

Lego Marvel Super Heroes game cover
Marvel have released the cover-art for the forthcoming Marvel Super Heroes Lego video game. It highlights several characters, including a few that have yet to get actual Lego renditions in the Super Heroes range:
Due out in October this latest addition to the Lego video games range will see loads of Marvel characters teaming up to defeat Loki and his nefarious plans (probably). Here are a couple of trailers showing them in action:
Some pre-orders of the game will also offer an exclusive minifigure set, the Iron Patriot. So far Walmart in the US, and Amazon in Germany seem to have this bonus:

The latest exclusive and promotional Lego sets
In my attempts to keep up to date on all the Lego sets that are to exist I have got a bit behind with the odd promotional and exclusive sets. So here's a little catch up:
The big news, a couple of months ago, was that the first Lego CUUSOO proposal in the international version of the platform got to the 10000 vote mark, and was oked by the Lego team. Coming some time this summer will be a Lego set based on the game Minecraft:
There are a couple of Lego shop at home special sets on the way too. Here's a video with the designers of the big new R2-D2 set:
The other is their latest aircraft sculpture; a new Sopwith Camel, a sequel of sorts to the previous 2001 edition.
Also in the more specialist arena is the latest set in Lego's Architecture range: Big Ben. This one should be out just in time to cash in on extra British tourism for the Olympics. I'd rather have the entire Palace of Westminster though; looks a bit odd just chopping off the end bit.
Also targeting tourists is a new airline promotional set, a neat little glider to add to your city airport. These are currently available from Virgin Atlantic and TUIfly.
Getting even more exclusive, there's a special mini Statue of Liberty set available from the New York Lego store, and several newly opening Lego stores have had limited supplies of Lego Store Lego sets:
Also exclusive to Lego stores, as well as Lego's online shop, will be two promotional minifigures with purchases of Star Wars and Super Heroes sets, during in promotional periods:
Already out in the wild is a special Darth Maul minifigure, so far made available at the New York Toy Fair and Legoland Windsor:
At some point there is also to be a single figure release of the Ninjago minifigure Rattla. (I'm hoping this will be a release I can get hold of as it's a figure I really like for it's Stargate Jaffa looks, but comes in sets I'm not interested in)
Finishing off the minifigure releases, there has also been a pack of firefighters at bulk out your city team:
Finally there have been a few seasonal releases for Easter and Valentine's Day, plus there's a tiny cake due at some point:
