Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game on the way!

StarWars.com have announced a new Lego Star Wars video game, based on The Force Awakens. Due out in June, this will be the fourth Lego Star Wars video game from TT Games, the first of which launched the brilliant Lego video game series! In addition to a light hearted Lego adaptation of the film, the game also promises to:
...offer new story content exploring the time period between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, adding additional insight into the movie and its characters
The game will also offer new game-play features including:
...the “Multi-Builds” system, where players can choose from multiple building options to advance the game; new blaster combat, in which players use surrounding environments to drive back the First Order during intense Blaster Battles; and high-speed flight gameplay through arena-based battles and dogfights in space, while gamers utilize a multitude of vehicles along the way, including the legendary Millennium Falcon. In addition, enemies can now build, too, allowing stormtroopers to support each other with reinforcements, air strikes, and heavy artillery, adding another layer of danger to the game.

Attack of the Legion of Doom!

Lego and Warner Brothers have announced a new animation in their series Lego films based of DC Comics characters. Coming in August will be Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom!, available on DVD and bluray, and featuring lots of heroes and villains. Here's the blurb for the film, as announced by IGN:
Crime is on the run as the newly formed Justice League keeps Metropolis safe and this makes evil genius Lex Luthor very unhappy. Together with Black Manta, Sinestro and a gang of ruthless recruits, Lex builds his own league and declares them the Legion of Doom. With this super powered team of terror and a plan to attack the top-secret government site, Area 52, can Lex finally be on the verge of victory? Sound the alarm and get ready for the bricks to fly when Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League face off against the world’s greatest Super-Villains! Lego Batman 3

The release date for the latest Lego video game, the third based on Batman (and the wider DC Comics universe) was announced today. Coming in November is Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, which takes the Batman adventure into outer space. The snazzy space-cape cover-art was also released today.


Several trailers have already been released for the game, which demonstrate typical Lego video game humour, and a healthy dose of sci-fi in this super-hero game.

DC Comics Lego variant covers

To promote the release of the latest Lego video game, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, DC Comics will be releasing a collection of Lego themed comic cover variants in November. Twenty-three different covers will featuring Lego minifigure versions of various DC characters bursting out of the cover - A homage to The New 52 #0 issues from 2012. Lego Marvel Super Heroes game cover

Marvel have released the cover-art for the forthcoming Marvel Super Heroes Lego video game. It highlights several characters, including a few that have yet to get actual Lego renditions in the Super Heroes range:


Due out in October this latest addition to the Lego video games range will see loads of Marvel characters teaming up to defeat Loki and his nefarious plans (probably). Here are a couple of trailers showing them in action:





Some pre-orders of the game will also offer an exclusive minifigure set, the Iron Patriot. So far Walmart in the US, and Amazon in Germany seem to have this bonus:
