Lego Ferrari F40

The latest large scale vehicle model in the Creator Expert line has been revealed, and this time they've moved away from the more retro feel of the previous releases (Mini Cooper, VW Camper, and Beetle) to a more modern classic, in 10248 Ferrari F40.

Bild (via Neoape) took the honour of revealing the set to the world, and also highlighted some of the features of the build, which include a new screen piece with printed angled sides, new hubcaps, pop-up headlights, and an opening back to revealed the detailed engine within, plus a tool-kit in the luggage compartment.

UPDATE: And now the full suite of images has been released (via The Brick Fan), plus the designer video, continue below to scrutinise every detail of the model:

Amazing Helicarrier set revealed

Lego have announced their latest Marvel Super Heroes set, and it's one of the biggest, most impressive, and feature-packed sets to date! Coming in March in 76042 The SHIELD Helicarrier, a glorious micro-scale build - Though far from micro over-all, with just short of three-thousand pieces building an eighty centimetre long model!

The helicarrier has functioning engines (in that they spin, rather than actually make it fly), lovely micro-scale printed runway tiles, and a host of vehicles and characters - Included are three quinjets, three fighter jets, an assortment of support vehicles and eight microfigures.

At micro-scale the set includes Nick Fury, Hawkeye, Captain America, Iron Man and no less than eight generic SHIELD agents, all ready to work out on the decks, or populate the interior command center. But that's not all, there are also five regular minifigures included; Nick Fury, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye and Maria Hill, who are presented on a bespoke stand with a SHIELD emblem as back-drop.

You can check out the designer video below, and continue after the jump for loads of images showing all the great features of the model.

Santa's Workshop revealed

Lego have announced their latest Creator Expert set, and what at at small stretch might be considered the newest  to the winter village collection - It's certainly wintery, but I think maybe Santa's Workshop is a bit removed from village life? Anywho, the set (10245 Santa's Workshop) does have all the usual charm and and festive features of a winter village set. It is comprised of Santa and Mrs Claus' home and workshop, which is manned by a team of four elves. Plus there's a band of reindeer to pull the sleigh, and a baby one waiting to join the team. It also comes with a toy machine, North Pole sign, and Christmas tree, and of course has lots of interesting parts (the printed backs of the reindeer look most promising to me).

New Maersk ship set revealed

Lego have announced the latest set in their decades long series of sets featuring vehicles from Maersk's transportation fleet. Having previously released lorries and trains, this time they're returning once more to the Maersk container ship, specifically the record breaking new Triple-E ship.

At a glance 10241 Maersk Line Triple-E is quite similar to the previous big ship set, 10152 Maersk Sealand Container Ship. But it is in fact a big upgrade; presented on a stand, the designers have been able to detail the entire hull, including two golden propellers. Unfortunately the unique Maersk blue colour isn't returning for this set but it does come with "boat loads" of azure blue, which is almost as good, as well as lots of dark red.

Other features include models of the ships engines, complete with a windowed section of the hull, allowing you to peer in to see them. Here's the designer video, which guides us round the set's features:

The Triple-E will be out in January. Continue after the jump for more photos (originally posted on Eurobricks):
